Demetris Ioannides founded Deloitte Cyprus and served as Managing Partner and subsequently as Executive Chairman up until 2005. He is now Chairman Emeritus of Deloitte Cyprus. During his Deloitte tenure, he has received various leadership awards and has established an impressive, broad clientele that helped shape the current stature of the financial and shipping industries in Cyprus. Together with Professor Dr. Gassner he has been instrumental in the ‘02 Cyprus tax reform, necessary for EU tax harmonization.
